*Obituary VICKIE KEATHLEY GILLEY

Victoria Susie Keathley Gilley, 61, of Benton passed away last year on February 28, 2022. She died peacefully in her sleep while at her family’s home in Conway.

Vickie was born in Benton, Arkansas, on January 28, 1961, to Roscoe Elijah & Edna Sue (Hood) Keathley. She grew up partly in Benton and partly in North Little Rock. She helped work in her family’s grocery store as a teen. She graduated Northeast Highschool in 1979 and then attended beauty school. She worked as a hairdresser for many years.
She had been a Benton resident for 20-plus years.

Vickie loved fishing, horticulture, arts & crafts and of course her precious dog ‘Boo’. She was a true fighter with a feisty - gutsy spirit and had a great sense of humor. She was a good neighbor and friend to those who knew her.

Vickie Sue always had faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. In 2021 she developed a deeper commitment to her Savior and much healing took place in her heart. She became on-fire for God and attended a few local churches finding great peace & hope. She ministered to those around her building them up with encouragement and prayer.

Unfortunately, Vickie began experiencing many health problems and eventually kidney failure. We are all so grateful for her and her life and to know that she is with her Lord Jesus.

Vickie was preceded in death by her Father, Roscoe E. Keathley Jr. and Stepfather, Paul T. Totten. She leaves behind; her Mother, Sue Totten, Brother, Roscoe Nicholas Keathley (Kathey), all of Conway, and her Son, the absolute love, pride and joy of her life, Bradly Calvin Gilley (Arielle) of Hot Springs.

Vickie’s remains have been cremated and are with family. The plans for a memorial site is undetermined as of yet.
