Jon Patrick Holden, 61, passed away January 4, 2011 in Fort Smith. He was born September 16, 1949 in Fort Smith, AR.
He was self employed as a carpenter and a musician.
He graduated from Southside High School in 1967 and entered the United States Army in June of 1967. He served 12 months active duty combat in Vietnam with the 101st Airborne Division, where he received; The Bronze Star, Air Medal, two Army Commendation Medals, two Purple Heart Medals, Presidential Unit Citation, Combat Infantryman's Badge, and various operations medals that were given for serving in Vietnam.
He is survived by several nieces and nephews, and many friends.
Graveside service with Military Honors, were 2:00 P.M. Saturday, January 8, 2011, at Roselawn cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
