BAGBY, Susan - Mrs. Susan Bagby, an old and highly respected citizen of Benton County, died at the home of her son, E.M. Bagby, in the Morning Star neighborhood last Thursday.

Mrs. Susan Bagby, relict of A.W. Bagby who preceded her to the better land three years, was born and reared in Georgia. She moved to Benton County, Ark. in 1874 and spent the remainder of her life here except a few years she resided with her children in Missouri. Last fall she came to make her home with her son, E.M. Bagby, who lives 6 miles southwest of Bentonville. About the last of February she was stricken with grippe and pneumonia from which she died on the 7th of March. After funeral services conducted by Elder J.W. West of Gravette her body was laid to rest in Bethel Cemetery near Gravette. She was the mother of eleven children, eight of whom, four boys and four girls, survive her, also a number of grandchildren and other relatives and hosts of friends are left to mourn their loss. But we feel that our loss is her eternal gain. She had been a professor of religion for twenty years; a member of the Baptist church for five or six years. May she sweetly rest till we meet her where sad partings come no more. E.M.B.
