John Marvin Frisby 86, of Strong died Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at Oak Ridge Nursing Home. He was born in Union County, Arkansas, on September 17, 1923 the son of Thomas Cleat and Maggie Benford Frisby.

He loved to go up and down the road and visit his friends. He was a member of Green Grove Assembly of God in Strong. He served in the Army Air Force during WWII

He is preceded in death by his parents, two sons, Tommy Frisby and Dennis Frisby, a grandson Shannon Frisby, three half brothers Virgil Pickett, Ed Pickett, and Ray Pickett a half sister Annette Pickett.

He is survived by a daughter-n-law, Vickie Frisby, three grandchildren, Joshua Frisby, Dr. Jed Frisby, (Jana), and Merle Frisby, (Aren) and a great granddaughter Kiera Lynn Frisby all of El Dorado and a half brother Randy Pickett of Alabama and special friends Melba Stewart, Buriel Wooten and along with many other friends.

Funeral will be Saturday, January 30, 2010 at 10AM at Green Grove Assembly of God Church with Bro. Jimmy Adams officiating. Burial will follow in Green Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, January 29, 2010 from 6-8PM at the church. Services are under the direction of Perry’s Funeral Chapels of Strong.
