Roland Hogue, age 82, of Strong, AR. died Tuesday May 3rd in Oakridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, El Dorado, AR. He was born, October 5th 1928 at Benjamin Lake in Union County AR. a son of the late John P. Hogue and Julara Williams Hogue. He was a retired Oilfield worker serving as a machine operator, a United States Army Veteran serving in War War II. and a member of Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ellen Fife Hogue whom he married in 1953 and she died February 22, 1993, spanning 40 years of marriage. A brother, Andy Hogue, 6 sisters- Tommy Fife, Vera Hixon, Hattie Hays, Etta Smith, Opal Smith and Lucille Poole also preceded him in death.

He is survived by 1 son, Randy Hogue and spouse Marti, Strong AR,. 2 daughters, Wanda Hogue Sanders, Strong, AR. and Evelyn Sue Coward, Pasadena, TX. 5 grandchildren, Daniel Hogue, Lucy Hogue, Preston Webb, Julie Osgood and Dawn Sanders and 1 great-grandchild, Laken Osgood.

Funeral services were 10:00AM Saturday, May 7th at Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Buddy Burton officiating. Music was provided by Mack and Dorothy Ables. Burial was in Green Grove Cemetery by Frazer's Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Alan Gantz, Euclid Elliott, Danny Waller, Billy Ray Smith, Ryan Smith and Sambo Smith.
