Rev. Dennis Leon Dobbins, 70, of Fort Smith, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord on July 3rd 2021, after a valiant battle with a long illness. His devotion to his family and his firm belief in God supported him in his struggle. He was born June 25, 1951 in Paris, Arkansas to Joseph and Mary Dobbins. He was a graduate of Northside High School in Fort Smith, Arkansas, and was student body president of Texas Bible College where he received his Bachelors degree in Theology. He was principal and founder of Christian Schools in Texas and Louisiana, operated several family businesses, and retired from AAA Auto Club Insurance. As a young man Dennis enjoyed motorcycle trips with his brother Kenneth and friends. More currently he had a great appreciation for classic cars. He was passionate about worshipping the Lord, studying the Bible and reading books to enhance his knowledge of the things of God. He was the adult Sunday school teacher at Northside United Pentecostal Church for many years and also served in jail ministry, gave home Bible studies and preached at local churches. Spending time with family brought him and his family so much joy. His fighter spirit is an inspiration to his family and friends to persist in the face of obstacles. He always had a smile on his face, an encouraging word, and was an inspiration to all who knew him.
