C.C. Davis, 72, of Fort Smith died Saturday, Aug. 17, 2002, in Fort Smith.

He was an Army veteran, a retired corporal for the Fort Smith Police Department, a member of Arkansas Retired Municipal Police Association and Bruton Masonic Lodge No. 30 and Western Arkansas Scottish Rite Bodies.

Funeral was 2 p.m. Thursday at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Smith with burial at Roselawn Cemetery in Fort Smith.

He is survived by his wife, Lavonne; two daughters, Mary Ann Davis of Sallisaw and Rebecca Boren of Fort Smith; two sons, Alfred Davis of Alma and Jerry Lee of Fort Smith; two sisters, Margie Chesher of Van Buren and Geneva Wiley of Sallisaw; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Freddie Brewer, Bill Reather, Raymond Shelby, Paul Rivaldo, Bob Ross and Harold McClain.
