Donald Gillett Cobb, 86, of Fort Smith died Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2000, in a local hospital. He was retired from Central Supply, was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of American Legion Post No. 31. He was a member of Goddard United Methodist Church and the Men's Bible class. Funeral will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Goddard United Methodist Church with burial at Roselawn cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith. He is survived by his wife, Mary Jean; four daughters, Elizabeth Ann Price of Hurst, Texas, Julie Conley of Muldrow, Nancy Dworkin of Marco Island, Fla., and Mary Jane Cobb of Sherman, Texas; four sons, John D. Cobb of Springdale, Stephen Gillett Cobb of Oklahoma City, Ronald Eric Cobb of Allen, Texas, and Christopher Lawrence Cobb of Tulsa; two sisters, Dorothy Lill Lemole of Denison, Texas, and Nell Click of Clifton, Texas; one brother, Frank of Galveston, Texas; 11 grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. Pallbearers will be Ronny, Gillett, Chris and John D. Cobb, Garrett Lewis, Tod O'Brien, Dale Conley and Joel Chasteen. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Men's Bible class of Goddard United Methodist Church. The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
