Marvin Mason Chapin, 75, of Lavaca, AR. entered into rest on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 in Greenwood, AR. He was born October 7, 1937 in Lavaca, AR. He was of the Baptist faith, a Navy Veteran,Two Times State Checker Champion and an avid bowler. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years Rena, 1 son Marvin Ray Chapin and wife Barbara of Fort Smith, AR., 1 daughter Brenda Kay Taylor and husband Gary of Greenwood, AR., 1 twin sister Marcella Robertson of Fort Smith, AR. and 3 grandchildren Megan Chapin, Alexa Chapin and Brad Taylor. Graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 31, 2013 at Oak Valley Cemetery in Lavaca, AR. Viewing and family visitation will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, August 30, 2013 at Lewis Funeral Chapel in Lavaca, AR. Arrangements are under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel in Fort Smith, AR.
