Mr. Howard w. Sutton, of Springdale, Arkansas, died Friday, November 2. 2012, at the Circle of Life Earlene Howard Hospice Home in Springdale. COD: Complications from Congestive Heart Failure.
Mr. Sutton was the son of the late Howard and Ruby (Metcalf) Sutton. He graduated from Heavener High School in 1965. Then in 1969, he entered the ARMY and served in Vietnam from March 1970 to January 1971. He was awarded the Purple Heart, the Natinal Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, and the Valorour Unit Award. In 1969, he married Gladys Pittman(who died in 1978). Then on the 27th day of December, 1980, he married Dyan Cochran, in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
Mr. Sutton loved his God, his family and his country. He was a member of the 1st United Methodist Church of Springdale. Mr. Sutton worked for Pepsi Cola Corp. for 33 years and retired in 2002.
Mr. Sutton was preceded in death by his parents; his 1st wife; and 1 son: Ryan Sutton.
He is survived by his wife: Dyann, his children: John Sutton and his wife: Mandy, Amy Sutton, and Mitchell Sutton; 1 brother: charles Sutton and his wife: Ruith; 1 sister: Sharon Brewer and her husband: Bill; his grandchildren; other relatives; and many dear friends. He also leaves behind his beloved dogand companion: baxter.
A memorial service was held on Monday, November 5, 2012, at the 1st United Methodist Church in Springdale, Arkansas.
He was laid to rest at Dawson Cemetery in the Greenwood/Milltown area of Sebastian County, Arkansas.
Pallbearers were: Brett Sutton, Mike Brewer, Stephen Canada, Devin Cochran, Casey Cochran and Brian Cochran.
