*Obituary
Mr. Virgle Hicks, of Greenwood, Arkansas, died Sunday, July 1, 2012, in a Fort Smith hospital. Mr. Hicks was 83 years old. He was a retired employee of Arkansas Glass and Mirror and was a member of the 1st Baptist Church of Greenwood.
Mr. Hicks was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife: Delma Faye Hicks; 2 sons: Olen Hicks and his wife: Frankie, of Blanchard, Oklahoma, and Douglas Hicks of Rye Hill Community, Arkansas; 5 daughters: Janet Reeder and her husband: Phillip, of Lake Jackson, Texas, Brenda Blaylock and her husband: Jerry, of Fort Smith, Arkansas, Sheila Geels, of Greenwood, Arkansas, Charlotte Bascue and her husband: Dale, of Riverton, Wyoming, and Shirley McCaniel and her husband: Kenny, of Hartford, Arkansas; 1 brother: James Hicks; 21 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; other relatives; and many dear friends.
Funeral service was held on Tuesday, July 3, 2012, at 1st Baptist Church of Greenwood.
Pallbearers were his grandson: Jeremy Hicks, Travis Bunn, Jason Stallings, Ryan Bascue, Houston Kennedy, and Christopher McDaniel.
Honorary pallbearers were: his remaining grandchildren, and members of the Clyde Holland and Jane Anderson Sunday School Class of his church.
