OZARK Joanne Stringer, 60, of Ozark died Sunday, Feb. 10, 2002, in Ozark. She was a member of the Salvation Army Church. Funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Fentress Mortuary Chapel in Fort Smith with burial at Hickory Ridge Cemetery in Lavaca. She is survived a sister, Major Eula May Winters of Plant City, Fla.; two brothers, Jimmy Don and Lonnie B. Stringer, both of Fort Smith; several nieces and nephews; and a companion, Bill Taylor of Clarksville. Pallbearers will be Chance Ellis, Jimmy Stringer, Robert Daniels, Major Bill McClure, Captain Jim Taylor and Major Robert Winters. The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Salvation Army of Fort Smith, 301 N. Sixth St., Fort Smith, AR 72901.
