Gary Rockett, 72, of Shreveport, LA formerly of Junction City, LA and Warren, AR passed away Thursday, March 24, 2022 at his home in Shreveport, LA

Gary was born December 23, 1949 in El Dorado, AR, to the union of Alymer H. Rockett and Maxine Aycock Rockett.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and one son, Alymer Gary Rockett, Jr.

Gary retired from Potlatch and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Lillie, LA. He was an avid fox hunter, fisherman and loved to garden. He was a family man.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Judy Rockett of Shreveport, LA, two daughters, Sabrina Newell and husband Rick of Shreveport, LA, Charity Anglin and husband Chris of Portland, OR, one brother, Doug Rockett and wife Debbie of Junction City, LA, four grandchildren, Lauren Thornton and husband Jon, Paige Newell, Auston Anglin and wife Kelsey, and Jackson Anglin, one great granddaughter, Stella Anglin, two nephews, Collin Rocket and wife Candy, Derek Rockett and wife Jessica.

Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. until memorial services at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 2, 2022 at Bethel Baptist Church in Lillie, LA with Rev. Ken Reeves and Rev. Phillip Farris officiating. Cremation arrangements provided by Bailey Funeral Home of Junction City, AR.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society-Melanoma Research Alliance, P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123, 1-800-227-2345.
