L. D. Murray Jr., 65, of Junction City, AR; died on Thursday, April 15, 2010 at Life Touchs John R. Williamson Hospice House following a brief illness.
Born on January 8, 1944 in Ruston, Louisiana, he was the son of Loucious D. and Beatrice Jones Murray. L.D. was a long haul truck driver for Sara Lee Corporation. He loved to hunt, fish, and to travel. L.D. was a member of South Parkway Church.
L.D. was preceded in death by his parents, an infant sister, and a brother Perry Murray.
Survivors are his wife Verna Barnhill Murray of Junction City, brothers R.C. Murray of El Dorado and Granville Murray of Dallas, TX; sisters Alma Lee Raymond of San Diego, CA, Vera Smith of Pine Bluff, AR and Lynn Wooten of Orlando, Fl
Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Saturday, April 17, 2010 at South Parkway Church in Ruston, LA.with Rev. Chris Witt officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Cemetery in Junction City, AR by Bailey Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the church an hour prior to services.
