Jimmy L. Stringfellow age 79 of El Dorado, AR passed away Monday, July 1, 2019 at his residence near Calion, AR. Jimmy was born on February 17, 1940 in Hampton, Calhoun County, AR to the late Carrie Blann Stringfellow and Autry Stringfellow. Jimmy worked for Calion Lumber Company, serving forty plus years before his retirement. He loved being outdoors and was the founding member of Stringfellow Hunting Club. He especially enjoyed deer hunting, fishing and raising a vegetable garden each year. Jimmy was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed spending time with his many nieces and nephews.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Willie John Stringfellow; two sisters, Geraldine Launius, and Scarlett Smith.
Survivors include; his wife of thirty years, Paulette Atkins Stringfellow; one daughter, Jennifer Stringfellow; one grandson, Seth Stringfellow all of El Dorado; one sister- in- law, Bonnie Walthall and husband Russell of El Dorado; two brothers- in- law, Butch Atkins and wife Pat of El Dorado and Ricky Atkins and wife Debbie of Lonoke, AR and one sister, Joyce Howard of Texas, along with a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation with the family will begin at 1:00 pm, followed by a memorial service at 2:00 pm on Friday, July 5, 2019 at Bailey Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Gerald Perry officiating.
A private burial will take place at Resthaven Memorial Gardens at a later date.
Cremation services provided by Bailey Funeral Home.
