Donal O. Qualls, 84, of El Dorado, passed away December 20, 2016. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Qualls of El Dorado; daughter, Kelli Qualls Heater (Ben) of Bartlett, Tennessee; son, Chris Qualls of El Dorado; sisters, Wanda Satterfield and Linda Spurlock; brother, J. C. Qualls; five grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Calvin and Lula Carpenter Qualls, son, Terry Qualls and sister, Carolyn Sharp.

Donal was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a member of the VFW, the Gideons, and a Mason, and was the recipient of the Five Who Care Award. He volunteered with Hospice, in the jail ministry, and sang at the nursing home. Donal was a member of the Dumas Memorial United Methodist Church.

Services will be held on January 7, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Dumas Memorial United Methodist Church, officiated by Rev. Pat Daugherty. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice, or to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital or the Dumas Memorial United Methodist Church.
