January 27, 1905 - April 17, 1967
Rubert Herford McHenry, 62, 1208 N. Miles St., died Monday night in a local hospital following a lengthy illness. Born Feb. 27, 1905, at Lawson, he was the son of E. O. and Addie McGough McHenry. He had lived in El Dorado for the past 32 years and was an employe of Wheeling Pipeline for 19 years. He was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Ora Josephine McHenry; two sons, Calvin McHenry, El Dorado, and Thomas McHenry, U.S. Navy, Virginia Beach, Va.; two daughters, Mrs. Bernice Humphries, Miami, Fla., and Mrs. Mell Elliott, Midland, Tex.; three sisters, Mrs. O'Neal Nash and Mrs. Orean White, both of Huttig; and Mrs. Versa Little, Voth, Tex.; one brother, Phillip McHenry, Voth, Tex.' 11 grandchildren, and one great grandchild. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the First Church of the Nazarene. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Pratt Funeral Home. (El Dorado Daily News - April 18, 1967)
