March 18, 1949 - March 7, 2023
James Franklin Williams, 73, of Black Rock went to his Heavenly home March 7, 2023 surrounded by family and friends.
He was born March 18, 1949 in Walnut Ridge, AR to Willie H. Williams and Stella Mae Arnold Williams. He proudly served in the Army National Guard. He lived in Little Rock before moving to Black Rock. James was a truck driver and on his days off delivered food to different places.
James was preceded in death by his parents, brother Willis Williams; sister Marie Findley; 4 half-brothers, Lloyd Harris, John Sanders, William Sanders, and Roy Smith; 3 half-sisters, Luveeda Estes, Ruby Thrash, and Laverne Holt.
James is survived by his wife, Jennie Williams of the home; 2 daughters, Holly Williams and Ashley Eaton; stepsons, Shane Bagwell, Del Bagwell, & Destry Bagwell; stepdaughter, Dora Bagwell; sister, Gladys Jones of Dinuba, CA; brother, Marion (Cathy) Williams of Fayetteville, AR; 4 grandsons, Cash, Slade, Hayden, and Coben; and 4 granddaughters, Kiera, Erika, Ryliegh, and Emmlen.
Visitation will be held Saturday March 11, 2023 at Lake Charles Full Gospel in Powhatan from 11:00am to 11:30am.
Funeral services will begin at 11:30am with Bro. Gary Dauzat officiating.
Interment with military honors will be in Powhatan Cemetery under direction of House-Gregg Funeral Homes of Walnut Ridge & Lynn, AR.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Del Bagwell, Destry Bagwell, Ricardo Martinez, Daniel Morgan, BJ Young, and John Morgan.
