Elliott McMullin
PLEASANT PLAINS - Elliott O. McMullin, 85, of Pleasant Plains died Friday, May 26, 2006, at his home.
Born Oct. 31, 1920, at Pleasant Plains, he was the son of Forrest O. and Myrtle Harris McMullin. He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served during World War II. He was a retired heavy equipment operator and farmer. He was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars at Pleasant Plains and of the Methodist faith.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Kitty Burge McMullin; two sons, Glendal E. McMullin and Johnny V. McMullin, both of Batesville; a daughter, Frances A. Pearson of North Little Rock; a brother, Vern McMullin of Pleasant Plains; two sisters, Wilma Chrisco and Lois Maggard, both of Pleasant Plains; five grandchildren, Pathy Sellars of North Little Rock and Suzann Martin, Kristen McMullin, Kyle McMullin and Kirbi McMullin, all of Batesville; a great-grandchild, Cory Martin of Batesville; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Cleo McMullin.
The funeral was at 10 a.m. Monday at Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel in Batesville with Glen Harris and Glendal McMullin officiating. Burial was in Putman Cemetery in Pleasant Plains.
Pallbearers were Kyle McMullin, Johnny McMullin, Glendal McMullin, Michael Farrier, Dennis Farrier and Curtis Childers.
Honorary pallbearers were Denton Harris, Rob Sellars, Kenneth Clark, Larry Bullard, Farrell Harris and Billy Caplener.
