*Obituary

On August 30, 2022 Bobby Jay McGinty, 63 of Greenbrier Arkansas through God's Mercy and Grace is now resting in Christ. The Chains of this world were freed.
He was born, November 25, 1958 to J.W. McGinty and Ottie Louise (Brinkley) McGinty, in Conway Arkansas and lived in McGintytown, Arkansas all his life. He was a member of McGintytown Church of God.
He was preceded in death by his parents, J.W. and Louise McGinty and his brother-in-Law James Holloway.
He is survived by his son, Jason McGinty and wife Dana, of Morrilton; his four grandchildren, Haven, Samuel, Corbie, Aubrey and one sister Mary Holloway of McGintytown. He is also survived by his three nieces, Christy Brown and husband Doug of McGintytown, Melissa Bell and husband Evan of Conway, Shelly McNeil and husband Rance of Greenbrier with multiple nieces and nephews.
Bobby loved his family. He would tell you in an instant about his son, Jason and his Grandkids. He was a quiet man with a clever wit, a twinkle in his eye and a chuckle that would let you know he'd just pulled something over on you. Bobby learned early on to enjoy the simple things in life being outdoors, hunting, fishing and beautiful sunsets. One of his best kept secrets was his ability to paint beautiful pictures of the things he loved. Bobby loved wood working and building things out of Cedar. One of his proudest accomplishments was a barn he built and filled with some of his favorite things, that became a place to share his all-time passion with his friends and family, his music. Like most McGinty's Bobby loved to play music and sing from an early age. Bobby played the bass guitar and sang bass for the Singing McGinty's gospel quartet. Later on, he played with several bands: One Way Road, In A Moment's Notice and many other bands. Bobby will be greatly missed and remembered by his family and friends for the joy he brought to their lives.
Jason and Bobby's family would like to thank Arkansas Hospice for the love and care they provided during this time.
Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 6 at the Wilcox Family Funeral Home in Greenbrier.
