Tyler Lynn Lewis - Pleasant Plains
January 27, 1990 - January 27, 2008
Tyler Lynn Lewis, 18, of Pleasant Plains, died Sunday, January 27, 2008. He was born December 29, 1989 in Searcy.
Tyler was a senior at Midland High School where he was to graduate with honors this year. He was active in the FBLA, Senior Beta Club and was in the Gifted and Talented Program. Tyler also enjoyed his job with Clint's Carpet Cleaning where he worked along side both his cousins Clint and Derek. He was a member of the Velvet Ridge Church of God.
He is survived by his parents, Robbie Lewis and Gary Lewis both of Pleasant Plains; sister, Katelyn Diane Lewis of Pleasant Plains; grandparents, Denton and Diane Harris of Bradford, Kelly Draper of Floral, Great-Grandma Juanita Harris of Pleasant Plains, Great-Grandpa Vernon Lewis of Batesville; aunts and uncles, Farrell and Jennifer Harris of Bradford, Brandon and Shelly Duncan of Pleasant Plains, Greg and Chris Wood of Batesville; cousins, Derek Harris, Jessica Harris, Trevor Harris, Carlee Duncan all of Pleasant Plains, Shiloh Beck, Cierra Beck of Bradford, Devin Wood, and Jordan Wood of Batesville.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Raymond Lewis, Sr.; a uncle, Raymond Lewis, Jr. great-grandparents, Arthur Denton Harris, Lono and Robbie Elizabeth Marlin, Flossie Lewis, Mabell Grammar and James Fred Grammar.
Visitation will be Tuesday, January 29, 2008 from 5-8 p.m. at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel in Bald Knob. A celebration of Tyler's life will be held on Wednesday, January 30, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the Velvet Ridge Church of God with Bro. Doug Swindle and Dewain Marlin officiating.
Interment will be in Putman Cemetery at Pleasant Plains. Arrangements are entrusted to Powell Funeral Home, Bald Knob-Judsonia. On-line condolences can be sent to www.powellfuneralhome.net.
Accounts have been set up at FNBC in Batesville for the Tyler Lewis Scholarship Fund, and one at the Citizen's Bank in Pleasant Plains.
