William O'Neal Herrington, 64, of Conway died Saturday, June 4, 2011. William was born June 23, 1946 in Helena to the late Hubert and Mildred (Minton) Herrington. He is also preceded in death by a sister, Vicki Howe of Steele, Mo.
Bill was a member of St. Joseph Parish. He enjoyed singing gospel music, singing in various church choirs and one season with the Conway Men's Chorus. He served as a Pulaski County Sheriff's Deputy for 16 years, then worked in Security for Baptist Health System in Little Rock.
Bill is survived by his wife of 43 years, Marilyn (Schmitz) Herrington of Conway; children Tracy Harris and husband Randy of Maumelle and Jason Herrington and wife Elizabeth of McKinney, Texas; grandson Jordan Harris; and sisters Donna Brown and Bobby of Lexa, Ark., and Judy Moore and Tommy of Crawfordsville, Ark.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with Celebrant Fr. Marconi. Visitation will be 6-7 p.m. today at Griffin Leggett Funeral Home, with Rosary beginning at 7 p.m. Arrangements by Griffin Leggett Funeral Home, 1751 Dave Ward Dr., Conway, Ark., 72034, 501-327-5000.
