Ted Calvin Barkhimer of Camden, AR passed away Saturday, July 29, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. He was born March 24, 1925 in Gurdon, Arkansas. He was retired after 42 years with International Paper Co. Bag Pak Division. He was a friend and caregiver to many. He was of the Asssembly Faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Conrad & Rose Pearl Rogers Barkhimer; wife, Geraldine Patterson Barkhimer; one child, Brenda Paulette Barkhimer; sisters, Evelyn Barkhimer Crews and Maudie Barkhimer Efford; brothers, Walter, Archie, Edward, Richard, Billy Jo, Jessie, Chester, Harvey Howard Barkhimer; sons-in-law, Carl “Ed” Pickett and Bobby L. King.

He is survived by wife, Rachel Williams Barkhimer; daughters, Linda Pickett King of Camden, Rosemary
Barkhimer Frame (Charlie) of Beebe; step-children, Crystal Williams (Jimmy) of North Carolina, Danny Crews of Pine Bluff, Edwin Crews (Gail) of Georgia, and six grandchildren, Eddie Pickett (Terri), Mike Pickett (Lisa), Scott Pickett (Christiene) all of Camden, Angela Frame Evatt (Chuck) of Jacksonville, Brian Frame (Alina) of Hot Springs, and Thomas (TJ) Frame (Tammi); Nine great grandchildren, eight step grandchilden.

Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Monday July 31, 2017 at Elliott Baptist Church. Burial will be in Bethesda Cemetery on Mt. Holly Road in Camden. Proctor Funeral Home of Camden is in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be Sunday, July 30, 2017 from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
