Anna L. Howell
BENTONVILLE __ Anna L. Howell, 90, of Bentonville, Ark., died Aug. 3, 2011, at a local nursing home. She was born Jan. 11, 1921, in Mingo Junction, Ohio, the daughter of John and Bruno Lesnansky.
She proudly served her country with the United States Navy during World War II. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting along with playing bingo. She loved spending quality-time with her family. She had lived in the Northwest Arkansas area for over five years after moving from Valdosta, Ga. She served as a librarian for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and three brothers.
She is survived by one son, Dr. Charles N. Howell Jr. of Ponte Vedra, Fla.; one daughter, Jan H. Mader and her husband, Frank, of Bentonville, Ark.; five grandchildren' and five great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date with interment to take place at Fayetteville National Cemetery.
Cremation arrangements under the care of Epting Funeral Home in Bentonville.
