June 4, 1942 - January 29, 2023

Fred Lee Baty, 80 of Walnut Ridge; died January 29, 2023, in the Flo and Phil Hospice House in Jonesboro.

Born June 4, 1942 in Stegal, Arkansas; son of the late Pete and Ollie Halfacre Baty. Fred was united in marriage to Anna Brandon on June 4, 1988. He was a farmer and of the Church of Christ faith. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, country music, relaxing at the beach, hanging out with family and friends throwing one back.

He is preceded by his parents; a daughter, Lisa Mae Baty; one grandson, Kenny Lee Baty; six brothers, Billy (Red), Cleo, Leo, Ray, Daniel, and William; four sisters, Laura, Mable, Lottie, and Joyce.

Survivors include his wife, Anna of the home; four sons, Danny, David, Derrick and Jimmy Wayne; two daughters, Samantha and Kimmie; twelve grandchildren, Lucas, Hayden, Kendy, Kobi, Ian, Lyric, Rachael, Jessica, Christopher, Maria, Nevaeh, and Destiny; seven great grandchildren; one brother, Glen Baty; and many other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Sunday, February 12, 2023 from 3 P.M. till 5 P.M. in the Bryan Chapel in Hoxie. Interment of his cremains will take place later in the Swifton Cemetery.
