July 20, 1943 - February 24, 2021
Rudolph Stuart Jeffus passed from this life to his Heavenly Father February 24, 2021. He was born July 20, 1943 to Virgil and Dorothy Grace Wright Jeffus. He was born into a farm, dairy and produce family with a very strong work ethic and worked until he was 77 years of age. (He just could not sit down and retire.) Rudy’s career journeyed from maintenance and safety to heavy equipment and trucking with Miller Transportation and Blann Tractor Co.
In his later years, he enjoyed the care and stewardship as a 6th generation steward of one of the homestead Jeffus family area homes which was a part of an 1853 U. S. Land Purchase along with a land grant parcel. With strong political conviction, he loved this country. He was an outdoorsman with an interest in deer hunting, wildlife conservation and playing on beautiful Lake Ouachita.
He was a devoted and loving husband and father. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Hugh W. Jeffus; brothers-in-law, Henry Young and Kenny Renfro and a nephew, Walter D. Jeffus. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Vickie (Almy) Jeffus from Ponca City, OK; his beloved son, Jason Rudolph Jeffus and Jimmie Jerry/companion along with a precious beagle, Dollie of Camden and El Dorado; two sisters, Ann Young of Camden, AR and Ruth Renfro of Cypress, TX; a sister-in-law, Mona Jeffus of Camden, AR as well as several nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
In lieu of a memorial service or flowers, please bless our Lord and Savior for the precious life of Rudy and join Jason and Vickie in thanking Him for all He’s done and all He will do. They pray that God will kindly bless you.
