David C. Miller, age 74, of Texarkana, Arkansas formerly of Smackover, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 12, 2018 in a Dallas, Texas Hospital.

Mr. Miller was born Oct. 23, 1943, in Princeton, Indiana. He worked for over twenty-five years for Cross Oil and Refinery and later retired from the Veteran’s Services Office for Miller County. He attended First Baptist Church, Texarkana and was also a veteran of the United States Air Force. David enjoyed camping, hunting, outdoor grilling, and yard work. But his favorite and most important love in his life was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Lucille Miller and one brother, Danny Miller.

He is survived by his wife of twenty-nine years, Tracy Miller of Texarkan a, Arkansas; two sons and daughters-in-law: Brandon and Amber Miller of Smackover; Adam and Terri Miller of Smackover; one brother and sister-in-law: James and Brenda Miller of Little Rock; one sister: Judy Renner of Mount Carmel, Illinois; eight grandchildren: Mark Miller, Austin Miller, Kaylee Graham, Hailey Miller, Cody Miller, Skye Miller, Hunter Baker and Haley Burleson and a number of other friends and relatives.

A celebration of David’s life will be Thursday, May 17, 2018 at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church Atrium with Pastor Jeff Schreve officiating with military honors.

The family will receive friends at the church Thursday afternoon from 1 until 2 p.m.
