BENTONVILLE — Frank Vincent Pampalone, age 66, of Bentonville, passed away May 16, 2016. He was born in Yonkers, N.Y., on Jan. 26, 1950, son of Vincent and Filomena (Paliotta) Pampalone.

Survivors include his wife, Geri Pampalone; son, Michael Pampalone and his wife Taylor of Oklahoma City, Okla.; mother, Filomena Pampalone of Bronxville, N.Y.; sisters, Andrea O'Brien of Lake Peekskill, N.Y., Denise Feulner of Mamaroneck, N.Y.; and grandchildren, Merrik and Callie Kay. He was preceded in death by his father.

Frank joined Walmart Realty as Director of Construction in 1997 and moved up to the position of Director of Design. In 2011 Walmart Realty implemented a new project management driven structure and appointed him Director of Project Design and Management. During his almost 18 years at Wal-Mart, he has been in charge of teams of managers either designing or constructing Wal-Mart Stores, Supercenters, Sam's Clubs and Neighborhood Markets throughout the U.S., working with real estate, design, legal and construction managers focused on new corporate growth opportunities and guiding the expenditure of capital resources.

Prior to Wal-Mart, Frank was principal in charge of construction at BSW, a large Architectural and Engineering firm providing consulting services to Wal-Mart as well as other clients. His firm produced over 2500 new Wal-Mart Stores and played a major role in leading Wal-Mart's expansion into Mexico, Canada and Puerto Rico. He began his career as an estimator and project manager with a general contractor, and moved on to become a specifications writer and construction contract administrator with an architectural firm focused on office building apartment and church construction.

Frank obtained his degrees in architecture and engineering at Oklahoma State University after his military service in the Army Engineers in Vietnam. He has over 40 years of experience in the construction industry and holds licenses as an Architect in several states. He is also a Certified Building Official and is certified as a Building Plan Reviewer and Building Inspector. He has lectured at Columbia University, Pratt Institute and the City University of New York's Baruch College, as well as serving as honored guest speaker at numerous industry events.
