Wayne Greenfield, 88 of Waldo, Arkansas passed away Thursday, November 4, 2010 at the Medical Center of South Arkansas. He was born on October 6, 1922 in Morrow County, Ohio to the late Seward and Mabel Greenfield. He was a veteran in the United States Army, an agricultural construction supervisor and later was an escort for Unit Structures.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Burnedia Mae (Booth) Greenfield, a step daughter, Billie Marie Hobartsch, and a step son, Cliff Sims.
Wayne is survived by his step granddaughter, Diana Marie Hobartsch of Houston, Texas; niece, Jean McWhirter of Mayflower, Arkansas; two step-nephews, Hays McWhirter and wife Mindy of Ashdown, Arkansas, Keith Sims and wife Debbie of Nashville, Arkansas; step niece, Pam Shaw and husband John of Mayflower, Arkansas; three step great grandsons, Jesse, Jerry and Wayne Jimenez; one step great nephew, Kurt Sims; and two step great nieces, Whitney McWhirter and Keri Sims.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 6, 2010 at the New Hope Cemetery with Bro. Martin Woodard officiating under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. of Magnolia.
