Hoyt Bailey, 73, of Magnolia, AR died Sunday, October 2, 2016 at the Medical Center of South Arkansas in El Dorado, AR.
Hoyt was born March 23, 1943 in McNeil, AR to the late Leslie Grady Bailey and Lorene (Crumpler) Sanders. He retired from Alumax/Alcoa after 42 years and was a member of the Rugged Cross Cowboy Church. He was an avid hunter and a dedicated supporter of the Magnolia High School softball and volleyball teams.
Hoyt is survived by his son Chad Bailey and wife Gina of Mt. Vernon; daughter Candi Bailey of Magnolia; grandchildren Faith Bailey and Hannah Bailey of Emerson; brothers Carl Bailey and wife Sharon of McNeil and Robert Sanders and wife Connie of Greenbrier; sisters Emma Jean Jackson of Waldo, Leslie Dalzell and husband Bill of El Dorado, Teri Porter and husband Lundy of Columbia, MS and Cheree Hill of Bossier City, LA; numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 5 at 10 a.m. at the Rugged Cross Cowboy Church with Bro. Mike Launius officiating. Burial will follow at New Hope Cemetery under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. in Magnolia. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Sean Wingfield, Shannon Sanders, Leon Whaley, Jay Olgesby, Tony Key, and Eric Bailey. Honorary pallbearers will be Donnie Sneed, James Camp, Billy Hendricks, Arthur Taylor, David Pyle, and Jerald Rudd.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be sent to the Rugged Cross Cowboy Church, PO Box 1220, Magnolia, AR 71754 or MHS Softball Booster Club, Treasurer Robert McDonald, PO Box 1411, Magnolia, AR 71754.
