Roger Burns, 67, of Batesville passed away on January 15, 2022, at White River Medical Center.

He was born at home on February 27, 1954, in Cushman, Arkansas to the late Loyd and Ravie (White) Burns.

Roger owned Burns Poultry Equipment for 42 years where he made many friends. He retired for about a minute then began construction on BRECKS RV Park that he owned until his passing.

But the absolute light of his life was his grandbabies. He was born to be a Papa.

He also enjoyed fishing with his grandson and son-in-law and frequent visits to Tunica with his wife. But one thing he was, he was a fantastic storyteller, he would have you in tears from laughing so hard reminiscing about his growing up years and the trouble he and his cousins and brothers caused around Cushman. They were all a handful but boy they had fun. No matter how many times he told the stories they were always just as funny as the first time he told them. He was proud to tell everyone that he always got a paddling on the first day of every school year for his shenanigans.

Survivors include his wife (39 days shy) of 49 years, Belinda (Riggs) Burns, one daughter Stacy Pretty and her husband Chris, two grandchildren, Kennadi and Ethan Pretty.

Two brothers, Ronnie Burns and JR Burns, and a host of nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Harold Loyd Burns, Danny Joe Burns, and sisters, Carol Anderson and Phyllis Davis.

Niece Marilyn Baker and nephew Joseph Burns.

A Funeral Service officiated by Dale Goodwin will be held at 2 pm on Thursday, January 20, 2022, at Willis Funeral Service. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Chris Pretty, Rickey Milton, Lynn Croslin, Chuck Burns, Mark Biram and Dale Goodwin.

Honorary pallbearers will be the Wednesday Night Poker Players, nephews Dean Cain and Eddie Burns, lifelong friend Dan Watts, nonbiological daughter Teressa Lantz, brother-in-law Tim Riley, Dr. John Allgood, Dr. Ramen Deskin.
