Charles H. Christie, 81, of Pangburn, passed away March 13, 2010, in Searcy.

He was born on March 7, 1929, at Emerson, AR to the late Thomas Ambrose and Amy Elizabeth (Matthews) Christie.

He was a retired Baptist minister and was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and one sister.

He leaves behind his wife, Mary (Jones) Christie; two sons, Thomas Bryan Christie (Sharon) of Mansfield, TX and Charles Mark Christie of Cheyenne, WY; four daughters, Elaine Coyle (Steve) of Ruston, LA, Anita Monk (Dannie) of Harrison, AR, Linda Christie of Pangburn, AR, and Charlotte Davis (Tony) of Pangburn, AR; one sister, Margaret Turner of Houston, TX; ten grandchildren, Amy Carpenter, Christie Coyle, Robert Coyle, Alyene Christie, Jared Monk, Cindy Monk, Kayla Davis, Jake Davis, Joshua Christie, and Savannah Christie; and three great grandchildren, Andrew Bratton, Mattie Bratton, and Chloe Monk.

The funeral service was held at Trinity Baptist Church, in Searcy, with Rev. David Crouch, Rev. Mike Hulsey, and Rev. Jeff Thomas officiating. Burial was in the Henderson Cemetery, at Pangburn.

Pallbearers were: Dale Johnson, Larry Moore, Jerome Browning, Jared Monk, Robert Coyle, and Jake Davis.

Honorary Pallbearers were: Dr. CW Koch and Dr. John Henderson.
