Jim Lindsey Ogilvie, 71, of Alma died Monday, Nov. 9, 2009, at St. Edward Mercy Medical Center in Fort Smith. He was born Oct. 21, 1938, in Knoxville to Carl and Lillian Ogilvie.

He was a graduate of Alma High School and attended Arkansas Teachers College. He was a member of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve and a member of First Presbyterian Church of Alma. He was a former employee of Arkhola Sand and Gravel and was a self-employed television sales and repair serviceman. He was very active in the Little League program for many years.

Funeral service was Thursday, Nov. 12, 2009 at Ocker Chapel of Alma with the Reverend Cliff Ford officiating. Burial was at Evergreen Cemetery in Alma under the direction of Ocker of Alma Funeral Home of Alma.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon Ogilvie of the home; two sons, Carl Ogilvie and wife, April of Alma, and Alan Ogilvie of Alma; four grandsons, Clayton, Collin Joe, Cameron and Cole Ogilvie; and one granddaughter, Emma Ruth Ogilvie.

Pallbearers: Jerry McGarrah, Shannon Carr, Scott Wilson, Rocky Thurman, Karl Bullard, Scott Peters, Buddy Peters, Glen Houck and Paul Brown.

Honorary pallbearers: Russ Newman, Frank Parker, Bobby Satterfield, Gary Teague, Jim Roberts, Joe Lewers, Sam Carr, Walter Kinsey and R.W. Ocker.
