Aug 10, 19959 - Jul 1, 2022

Michael Alan “Abe” Abrahamson, 62, of Jacksonville, passed away Friday, July 1, 2022. He was born on August 10, 1959 in Lincoln, Nebraska to the late Boyd and Shirley Flyingman Abrahamson.

Abe was retired after more than 30 years from the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission Fisheries division. He loved the Arkansas Razorbacks, no matter the sport. He loved playing and watching his son play their favorite sport, baseball. If it flew, Abe would be waiting with his bird dog to hunt it down. He enjoyed trips to Nebraska to pheasant hunt with his son and extended family members. In the fall he could be found in a deer stand waiting on the next big buck. He could also be found wettin’ a line at any good fishin’ hole. Abe never met a stranger and made friends everywhere he went. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Sharron Peterson and Garry Abrahamson.

Abe is survived by his children, Lindsey Abrahamson of Jacksonville and Jacob Abrahamson of Sherwood and a sister, Jeri (Chuck) Meyers of Dublin, Georgia. He is also survived by many extended family members and a host of friends.

Graveside services for Abe will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2022 at 10:00 am. Arrangements by Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home, 501-982-2136.
