*Obituary
Anson Bartlett, 24 of Dallas, formerly of Van Buren died Friday, Sept. 10, 1999 in Spiro.
He was a member of Grand Avenue Baptist Church of Fort Smith and an apprentice electrician with Darden Electric in Dallas.
Funeral was at First Baptist Church in Van Buren with burial at Evergreen Cemetery in Alma under the direction of Edwards Van Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.
He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Anne and Mark Spellman of Alma; his father, Gary Bartlett of Hillsboro, N.C.; his maternal grandmother, Wilma Hays of Van Buren; his paternal grandmother, Ruby Bartlett of Greensboro, N.C.; his paternal stepgrandparents, Eleanor and William Spellman of Louisville, Kent.; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Pallbearers were Dr. Elliot Hays, Tommy Hays, Alvy Hays, Darrell Hays, Wally Hays, Dr. J.B. Hays, Blake Hays and Justin Thomas.
