Louie Lee Dalton, age 81, of Dover, died Thursday, May 21, 2009 at his home.

He was born March 12, 1928 at Paris, Arkansas to Willie Henry and Rachel Anderson Dalton. He served as a member of the Armed Forces, during the Korean War, where he was awarded the Bronze Star. He enjoyed playing Bluegrass music on his prized instrument, his Dobro. He was a carpenter by trade. Many have said, "He was the most well-mannered gentleman that I've met in a long time," endearing himself to everyone he met.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Jimmy; his wife, Betty Barnhill Dalton; three sisters, Mary Gates, Avis Dalton, and Nancy Morehead; two brothers, Rosco and Clifton Dalton.

Survivors include two sisters, his twin, Ruth Marie Kelly of Paris, Texas and Lenora Williams of Odessa, Texas; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

Visitation will be held Monday, May 25, 2009 at Shinn Funeral Service from 6 to 7 p.m. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, May 26, 2009 at 2 p.m., at McFadden Cemetery, in Dover, Arkansas officiated by Mr. Bill Roderick.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dennis Henderson, James Young, Dean Williams, Jerry Johnson, Tim Goates, Paul Johnson, Jason Eubanks, Jared Eubanks, Dustin Caudell, Rusty Quinn, Jim Harelson, and Lee Peers.
