February 5, 1892 - January 17, 1970
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Mt. Calvary Baptist Church for Robert McClellan, 77, who died January 17. The Rev. A Coffey and the Rev. V. J. Johnson will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery under the direction of Andrews Funeral Home. He was born Feb. 5, 1892, in Lisbon, La., and was the son of David and Janie Holmes McClellan. He was a member of the New Bethel Baptist Church and a retired Rock Island Railroad employe. He was also a veteran of WWI. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Lonie McClellan, El Dorado; a foster daughter, Miss Susie Pearl Thompson, Long Island, N.Y., a sister, Mrs. Vera Lee, Junction City; and a brother, Gransfield "Dock" McClellan, Junction City.
