Leon "Champ" Hunter, Jr, 36, of Van Buren, AR died May 24, 2009 in a local hospital. He was born November 27, 1972 in Van Buren, AR. He was of the Pentecostal faith.
He is survived by 3 daughters, Tiffany Hunter of Fort Smith, AR, Threasa Hunter of Fort Smith, AR, and Bonnie Hunter of Fort Smith, AR; three sons, Frankie Hunter of Fort Smith, AR, James Harris of Cedarville, AR, and Brandon Hunter of Fort Smith, AR; his parents, Leon and Letty Hunter of Alma, AR; three sisters, Dorothy Willhite of Alma, AR, Mary Hunter of Van Buren, AR, and Donna Ellison of Alma, AR; paternal grandfather, Leonard Hunter of Muldrow, OK; and one grandson, Nathan Dewayne Hunter.
Graveside service will be 10:00 A.M. Friday, May 29, 2009 at Mount McCurry Cemetery in Rudy, AR under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home.
