*Obituary
Robert Dale Thomas of Fort Smith, Arkansas, passed away on November 20, 2015 at the age of 29.

He enjoyed the tranquility of fishing and the challenge of auto-mechanics. Due to his friendly nature, he never met a stranger. Robert often went out of his way to help others, be they family, friend, or acquaintance. He was close to his friends and family, always providing comfort, support, and unconditional love. Robert's contagious smile brightened the days of all who knew him, and he left behind a legacy of love, kindness, and humor. His carefree attitude and desire to live life to the fullest were contagious, and he brought joy and laughter with him wherever he went. He was particularly popular with those who are the best judges of character: canines and children.

A private burial will be held at Gracelawn Cemetery in Van Buren under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren. A family held public memorial service will be held at Midland Heights UMC in Fort Smith on Sunday November 29, 2015 at 3:00 PM.

Robert was recently preceded in death by his beloved maternal grandmother Carrol Wagnon and by his step-father David Jarrard several years ago. Robert is survived by his mother, Deborah Jarrard of Bella Vista, AR; father Charles Thomas of Broken Arrow, OK; brother Chuck Thomas of Fayetteville, AR; two sisters, Faith Williams of Broken Arrow, OK and Patience Kilgore of Tulsa, OK; maternal grandfather Dale Wagnon of Van Buren, AR; paternal grandparents Mildred Thomas of Tulsa, OK and Bill Thomas of Norman, OK; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
