Duane Indra Reel, 84, of Jacksonville passed from this life on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at his home. He was born Wednesday, July 25, 1934 in Freeport, Illinois to the late Veryl G. and C. Margaret Indra Reel. Duane was an avid Razorback fan and a private pilot. He enjoyed working in his yard, visiting his lake home, float trips, and snow skiing; but found his greatest joy in his family. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Anne Reel in 2015; and a sister, Phyllis Coffield.
Survivors include children, Denise (Tony) Reel Ferguson of Beebe, Diane Reel Baxter of Jacksonville; grandchildren, Jason (Brooke) Brolo, Chris (Lynn) Baxter, and Kyle Baxter. Other survivors include sisters, Karen (John) Poe of Hot Springs, Janice Slaughter of Montgomery, Texas; great-grandchildren, Clayton Baxter, Briggs Brolo, Shelby Baxter and Jax Brolo; along with a host of extended family and friends.
Memorial services will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 24, 2018 at First United Methodist Church Jacksonville with Reverend Nathan Kilbourne officiating. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday, August 23, 2018 at the funeral home.
