ROGERS — Frances Angelina "Angela" Lowell, 93, of Rogers, Ark., passed away Sunday, Aug. 18, 2019, at Mercy Hospital in Rogers. She was born Oct. 7, 1925, in Dulce Nombre de Copan, Honduras, to Modesto Guadalupe Rodriguez and Carmen Rivera.

Angela immigrated to the United States in the 1950s and settled in San Francisco, Calif., working as a nurse for the Union Pacific Railroad. Later, she moved to New York for other nursing work and met Allen Lowell to whom she married and preceded her in death.
Angela is survived by her daughter, Kathryn Lowell and son-in-law Michael Spivey of Bentonville; granddaughters Olivia Spivey of Norwalk, Conn., and Isabella Spivey of Denver, Colo.; sisters Laura Fijman and Carmen Saravia (ages 99 and 100!) and dozens of nieces and nephews.
A memorial service honoring her Christian life will be held from 10:45 a.m. to noon Saturday, Aug. 24, 2019, at The Jackson House, 309 S. Main St. in Bentonville. Private family burial will be held at Union Chapel Cemetery.
