Alvin Glen Chitwood, 74, of Rudy passed away Sunday, Aug. 31, 2014, in a local nursing home.
He was a self-employed carpet installer and a member of First Baptist Church in Van Buren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin Chitwood Sr. and Vera Bolin Chitwood; one stepson, Robert Ware; and a sister, Mary Sue Chitwood.
Funeral Service will be 10 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church in Van Buren with burial at Gracelawn Cemetery in Van Buren under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.
Survivors are his wife, Gloria of the home; a daughter, Melissa Chitwood of Van Buren; two sons, Kevin Chitwood and wife Nikki of Van Buren and Tim Chitwood and wife Lani of Fayetteville; one stepdaughter, Angela Moore and husband Thomas of Subiaco; one stepson, Jerrid Ware of Van Buren; 14 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one niece, Krissy Clif; two nephews, Jeremy and Aaron White; and one sister, Sarah White and husband Ronnie of Plano, Texas.
Pallbearers will be Thomas Moore, Donnie and Donald Dean, Donnie Baker, Trey Markham and Rob Flanagan.
Honorary pallbearers will be Paul Toon and Jerry Toon.
