Mr. James "Jimmy" Newell Taylor, Sr. of Wynne, died on Monday, June 7, 2021, at St. Bernard's in Jonesboro, Arkansas.

Jimmy was born on March 3, 1946, to the late Newell Taylor and Gladys Stutts Taylor Wimberley. He was a farmer and car salesman and a member of Wynne Baptist Church. He enjoyed spending time with his kids and grandkids at the lake, his dog Sophie, gardening and fishing.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, June Ward Taylor, daughters, Krystal Taylor Loyd and husband William of Wynne, Kakki Taylor Harris and husband Daniel of Wynne, son, Jamey Taylor and wife Whitney of Wynne, brother, Joey Taylor and wife Debra of Wynne, grandchildren, McKenzi, Whitney, Kaleigh, Morgan, Tinley, Rylan and Berkley.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Newell Taylor and Gladys Wimberley, and sister, Janice McKnight.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 8, 2021, at Kernodle Funeral Home from 1 to 2 PM. Funeral services will follow at 2 with Rev. Kirk Owens officiating. Burial will be in Cogbill Cemetery.
