Rachael Nicole Pickens, 38 of Star City, passed away Friday, April 23, 2021 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff. She was born October 17, 1982 in Dumas to Roy and Brenda Johnson Pickens. Rachael was of the Baptist faith and was a cook for Lincoln Heights Healthcare. She loved animals, enjoyed writing in her journal and liked going to yard sales.
Preceding her in death were her maternal grandparents, JR and Dovie Johnson; paternal grandparents, Frelen and Anna Martha Pickens; cousins, Andrew Stewart and David Whitehead; mother and father-in-law, Hollis Dee and Elizabeth Diane Tisdale; sister-in-law, Melanie Diane Crump; and uncle, John Wayne Johnson.
Survivors include her parents, Roy and Brenda Pickens; 2 daughters, Julianne Tisdale and Ashlynne Tisdale, sister, Meghan (Brett) Wilson, all of Star City; father of her children, Shawn Tisdale; 2 sister-in-laws, Dawn Nuckols and Dana Beagle; niece, Graycie Wilson; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Visitation is 6:00-8:00PM Tuesday, April 27, at Griffin Funeral Chapel. Graveside services are 10:00AM Wednesday, April 28 at Mt. Home Cemetery near Star City with Bro. Joseph Pemberton officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Susan G. Komen Foundation, 13770 Noel Rd., Ste. 801889, Dallas, TX 75380.
