Charles E. Nelson, age 90, of Rose Bud, Arkansas, passed away on August 29, 2017. Born on February 4, 1927 in Cleburne County, Arkansas, he was the son of the late Ed Lee and Trula Fisher Nelson.
Charles was a loving son, brother, husband, father and grandfather. He had been a farmer for many years and was a member of South Cross Roads Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Tom Nelson and a granddaughter Kallie Nelson.
He is survived by his wife Louise Nelson, his children Tim Nelson, Phil Nelson and his wife Annette, Roger Nelson and his wife Gela and Jo Ann Simpson and her husband Mike, a sister Pat Moring, 5 grandchildren Lesa, Casey Jo, Tony, Misty and Lewis and 11 great-grandchildren. Mr. Nelson is also survived by his other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 1, 2017 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Olmstead Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at the South Cross Roads Church with Rev. Kenneth Rolland, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Bethesda Cemetery.
