*When Hugh Esker Lawson was born on October 14, 1885, in White, Arkansas, his father, Hugh, was 31 and his mother, Rebecca, was 34. He married Ada Esther Quattlebaum and they had four children together. He then married Mary Matilda Barnett-Lawson and they had 12 children together. He died on November 13, 1952, in Gravel Hill, Arkansas, at the age of 67, and was buried in his hometown.
