*When Joseph Calvin Milam was born on April 25, 1854, in Hardin, Tennessee, his father, James, was 32 and his mother, Dorcas, was 29. He married Sarah Ann Woods and they had 12 children together. He then married Naoma Weaver and they had three children together. He died on July 11, 1936, in Gravel Hill, Arkansas, at the age of 82.
