WEST FORK — Van Brewer, 69, of West Fork, passed away peacefully in his home July 11, 2012. He was born in Fayetteville on Aug. 16, 1942, to Charles E. Brewer and Rita Cox Glover.

A 1960 graduate of Fayetteville High School, he earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Arkansas in 1968. He was a Marine, a carpenter and a lifelong active member of the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Fayetteville.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles E. Brewer; his mother, Rita Cox Glover; his stepfather, Eugene Glover; and his stepmother, Helen Brewer.

Survivors include his long-time partner, Deborah Reichert of West Fork; his daughters, Vanessa Brewer of Little Rock and Valerie Brewer of Farmington; and his grandson, Haden.

A private graveside ceremony will be held at the Fayetteville Veterans Cemetery.

A celebration of his life will be planned at a future date.

Memorials may be made to the Circle of Life Hospice, 901 Jones Road, Springdale, AR 72762.
