*When Hezekiah Jackson was born on April 13, 1814, in South Carolina, his father, James, was 29. He married Jane Hartshorn in 1858 in Jackson, West Virginia. They had ten children in 21 years. He died on December 31, 1866, in White, Arkansas, at the age of 52, and was buried there.
