*When Franklin Marion Gibbons was born in February 1838 in Covington, Mississippi, his father, William, was 40 and his mother, Louisa, was 20. He married Sarah Ann Sellers in 1863. They had three children during their marriage. He died on February 5, 1888, in Arkansas City, Arkansas, at the age of 50, and was buried in White, Arkansas.
